School Management - post-primary (ACCS/IVEA/JMB)
Patsy Mc Vicar was nominated to the Teaching Council by the post-primary school management organisations. He recently retired from his position as Principal of Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola, An Falcarragh. He is a previous member of the Association of Community and Comprehensive School’s Executive Committee (2006-2011) and of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment’s course Committees. Patsy was awarded a B.Tech (Educational Woodwork) by the Department of Education Training Course, Cork. He has, in the past, been involved with the Technical Graphics & Design and Communications Graphics Course Committees (NCCA), and was a member of the ACCS Executive Committee. Patsy is specifically interested in curriculum development, school management and Teacher Induction and probation. He wishes to maintain the high regard and standards already achieved in the teaching profession and to support the profession in developing the creativity, adaptability and readiness to embrace change.
