The term of office of the current Teaching Council comes to an end in March 2016. The Council has 37 members and 16 of these are teachers who are elected by teachers. An election for teacher members will open in February and close in early March.
The Electoral Roll, the list of teachers who may vote in the election, was finalised on 30 September 2015. Any teacher registered on that date is entitled to vote.
The Electoral Roll is available for inspection from today, 1 December 2015. Teachers can check the Electoral Roll to see if they are registered to vote. Limited information from the Electoral Roll (name, registration number, category and constituency) is available here online. Here you will also find information about how to request an amendment to the Electoral Roll. Requests for amendments must be received by noon on 22 December 2015.
