Droichead Webinar 14 June 2017

The Teaching Council is hosting a Droichead Webinar on Wednesday 14 June at 8 p.m. The webinar will afford teachers an opportunity to hear from, and interact with, a principal, newly qualified teacher and professional support team member who have experienced the Droichead process. The Teaching Council and the NIPT will also participate in the discussion. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Droichead from peers who have experienced the process.

Droichead Webinar     Droichead Webinar 25 May 2016

A Droichead webinar panel discussion was held on Wednesday 25 May 2016, from 8pm to 9pm. It was hosted by Tomás Ó Ruairc, Director of the Teaching Council. The Panel discussion took place with Máirín Ní Chéileachair, the National Co-ordinator for the National Induction Programme for Teachers (NIPT); two principals in Droichead schools, and a former Newly Qualified Teacher who has participated in the Droicheadprocess. Please note that the webinar refers to schools who partook in Droichead during the pilot programme phase.

Taisce     Taisce

As part of the Droichead process, newly qualified teachers are required to maintain a Taisce, in which they reflect on their professional journey. The Teaching Council has developed a short video to explain the process of maintaining a Taisce. Click here to view this video.
