History and Structure of Irish Education – Aptitude Test

The History and Structure of the Irish Education System Aptitude Test is administered twice a year by The Teaching Council to facilitate persons registered under Regulation Four of the Teaching Council [Registration] Regulations 2009 with the condition that they demonstrate an acceptable level of knowledge and understanding of this subject.  This is a compulsory course on all Postgraduate Diploma in Education programmes in Ireland.  Applicants applying for registration under the terms of EU Directive 2005/36/EC must be afforded the choice of addressing this condition/shortfall by means of an Aptitude Test or Adaptation Period.  This test fulfills the Aptitude Test requirement.  Click here for more information

Venue: Middle Loftus, South Campus, NUI Maynooth, Maynooth, Co. Kildare
 
If you would like to sit the next Aptitude Test on 20 November please book your place no later than 5 November 2010 by emailing historyandstructure@teachingcouncil.ie quoting your name address and your Qualifications Assessment Number (e.g. RS1234), or your Teaching Council Registration Number.  Alternatively, you can book your place by telephoning 01 651 5004.
