We are delighted to announce that FÉILTE will take place online on Saturday, 2 October from 10am to 4pm and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

FÉILTE 2021 will feature a packed programme full of live and interactive content as well as live connectivity with speakers, participants, and fellow attendees!

Have a look at what you can expect from this year’s event:
Keynote Speaker Live chat at 10.30 with Roddy Doyle.
On the day we will have two panel discussions. The morning panel will be moderated by Phil Fox, Deputy Director of the Teaching Council and will discuss the festival theme Transforming Teaching in a Sustainable World.
The panellists include:
  • Dr Derek Haime, Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Ontario College of Teachers
  • Dr Pauline Stephen, Chief Executive and Registrar of the General Teaching Council Scotland
  • Angela Jardine, Chairperson of Education Workforce Council Wales
  • Paula Mangan, Assistant Principal, Post-primary teacher
  • Brian O’Doherty, President of Irish Primary Principals' Network (IPPN) and Primary Principal
The afternoon panel will discuss Reimagining Creative Spaces in Schools and will be moderated by Tomás Ó Ruairc, Director of the Teaching Council.
The panellists include:
  • Dr Shane Bergin, Assistant Professor in Science Education UCD
  • Niamh Barry, Inspector with the Department of Education
  • Jennifer Buggie, Primary teacher
  • Ciarán Collins, Post-primary teacher
  • TBC
