Live Well, Teach Well: A Practical Approach to Wellbeing that Works by Abigail Mann

Teachers’ wellbeing has never been more important. This book is packed with 90 strategies to help you look after your own wellbeing, while you continue to secure the best possible outcomes for your pupils. Wellbeing is a key learning area in Cosán, the national framework for teachers learning, and this book provides advice, activities and techniques to support your mindfulness, wellbeing, and physical and mental health, and that of your colleagues too. The ideas are practical, realistic and achievable, and can help us sustain our energy, focus and positivity throughout the school year. Live Well, Teach Well also provides helpful tips on building constructive, fulfilling relationships with the wider community, on supporting pupil wellbeing (because a happy class means a happy teacher!) and on making wellbeing a focus at a whole-school level. Right now, we need to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and this book can support all teachers in achieving this goal.
