The sixth webinar of the 2021 Learning for All series will take place on Thursday, 24 June at 4pm. The webinar is called Tiocfaidh an samhradh – learning for all through the summer and beyond!

Schools are now approaching the end of term after a year that has been like no other. The Covid-19 pandemic has shone a light on many aspects of our education system, in particular the huge sense of community, connection and collaboration in schools across the country.

People were affected in different ways this year, some more so than others. One of the responses to this is the provision of expanded summer education programmes for students with complex special educational needs and those at greatest risk of educational disadvantage.

In this webinar, the panel will offer practical advice on supporting students, parents and teachers over the summer, with a particular focus on those who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. The importance of community and connection will also be explored through the lens of inclusion, and how we can build on these core values going forward.
Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice
PDST are delighted to commence phase 1 of a 3-year national programme of support for the national wellbeing framework in the coming academic year. Supports will include leadership supports and school-based supports and communication with regards to these supports will issue to schools from the PDST/DE.
School Support
School based support, for your school, in your school.

PDST continue to provide tailored school based support for teachers during / after school hours in a variety of areas including:
  • All aspects of school leadership
  • Curriculum and Methodologies
  • Digital Technologies
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • PP Programmes (TY, JCSP, LCA, TY)
By applying for school-based support, a PDST advisor can work with your school during the school day or after school hours to provide customised, professional development support tailored to the specific needs of your school, building on teacher knowledge and practice, engaging in collaborative conversations and developing capacity as a school community.
For queries, email schoolsupport@pdst.ie

The PDST are looking forward to public health guidelines allowing a return to engaging with school leaders and teachers in the face-to-face professional learning setting.
