FÉILTE is the Teaching Council’s annual Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence which celebrates the wonderful work that teachers do every day in their classrooms and gives teachers the opportunity to collaborate and share this work with each other and with the wider public.
FÉILTE 2017 took place on 7 October 2017 in the RDS, Dublin with almost 1,000 teachers and members of the public in attendance.
The theme for the event was ‘Leading Learning for All’, it featured a mix of 50 teacher-led showcases and workshops spanning projects from across the education sector, demonstrating the innovation happening in teaching and learning in schools across the country. The opening address was delivered by founder of AsIAm, Adam Harris with panel discussions on the day on homework and inclusive education chaired by broadcaster Keelin Shanley. The closing address was delivered by disability rights campaigner, Joanne O’Riordan.
