FÉILTE 2018

FÉILTE is the Teaching Council’s annual Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence which celebrates the wonderful work that teachers do every day in their classrooms and gives teachers the opportunity to collaborate and share this work with each other and with the wider public.

FÉILTE 2018 took place at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick on Friday, 5 October and Saturday, 6 October 2018.

FÉILTE 2018 had a different format to previous years - have a look at the highlights video!

It isn't just teachers who enjoy the festival! This video captures some of the other voices who were at FÉILTE!

For the first time, FÉILTE Fringe took place, bringing music, dance, and drama to the festival. Watch the Fringe highlights here!

FÉILTE is led by teachers, and this video captures some of what they had to say!

The theme for this year's festival was 'Life-long learning: Making a difference!' We encouraged teachers from all sectors - primary, post-primary and further education to come along and get involved, whether through taking a showcase, hosting a workshop, or participating in Teachmeet.

For the first time attendees had a two-day festival - FÉILTE 2018 opened on Friday evening with a keynote speech from Davy Fitzgerald, a panel discussion, Researchmeet, Rang Bianca and Teachmeet!
