There is no disclosure when I logged in to My Registration account
If you cannot see your disclosure, please contact us by emailing vetting@teachingcouncil.ie.
Why have I been selected for re-vetting?
As a registered teacher, you are legally required to complete re-vetting every three years.
If your National Vetting Bureau (NVB) disclosure is three-years old, you will receive an email from the Teaching Council with a link to complete a re-vetting application process.
You must complete the re-vetting process when requested in order to renew your registration.
How long is my vetting valid for?
The Teaching Council has a re-vetting policy in place which requires registered teachers to undergo the vetting process on a three-year cycle based on their date of registration. So, every three years you will receive a notification from the Council, approximately six months in advance of your renewal date of registration, to advise that you are required to undergo re-vetting to be eligible to renew your registration.
Your vetting disclosure will remain valid for registration purposes until you have completed the re-vetting process. To be able to renew your registration you must complete re-vetting.
