Cosán Workshops

A series of 3 workshops to support cultures of collaborative reflection in schools and enhance the impact of teachers' professional learning.

The ESCI (Education Support Centres Ireland) and the Teaching Council are co-hosting a series of three workshops for schools interested in harnessing the power of professional learning to support their needs. The workshops are facilitated by practising teachers and will provide opportunities for schools to learn from each other through reflective conversations that are underpinned by Cosán, the National Framework for Teachers’ Learning. Facilitators will provide helpful tools and strategies to support teachers and school leaders in the development of flexible, autonomous and context-relevant professional learning experiences for all.

Follow the link to the Cosán Stakeholder Event 2021, to hear what teachers and school leaders are saying about the positive impact of Cosán in their context. (From that webpage, you may wish to view the sections in relation to, ESCI Cosán Workshops, Cosán in Context – Teachers’ Voices, Cosán in Context – Teacher Vignettes, and Cosán in Context, Leaders’ Voices).

Schools are invited to nominate three staff members* (including one middle or senior leader) to engage in these evening workshops. Workshops will be hosted by the Education Centres listed below.

Some Education Centres will collaborate to co-host workshops and, in some cases, this will allow one Centre to offer online workshops only while a partnered centre or centres will offer in-person workshops. This ensures maximum flexibility for participants.
